Student Highlight: Adam Vaughn
Adam Vaughn planned to pursue an education in mechanical engineering until a foreign mission in Southern Italy left him captivated by the alluring mystique of a larger, more complex machine: the world. With all of its intricate parts and complex mechanisms, nothing short of an interdisciplinary approach to global affairs would fulfill his purpose-driven career aspirations.
Adam received a BA in International Studies from Utah State University and a minor in International Business. As a Huntsman School of Business attaché, he participated in a business-government immersion program that provided unmatched international context and behind-the-scenes exposure to global actors in Paris, Brussels, London, Geneva, New York and DC. As an intern in Torino, Italy, Adam worked under the direction of the local mayor, assisting with international projects, foreign delegations, research and translation. A linguistic aficionado, he speaks Italian, Spanish and French and revels in excursions, high-adventure sports and volunteerism.
For Adam, MIAGE enriches his international career trajectory, providing both depth and versatility to a wide range of disciplines. He believes that an extensive command of overlapping fields will qualify him to project global vision and understanding in the realm of international leadership.
